镁砂中主要成分为氧化镁,杂质为CaO、SiO2、Fe2O3等,氧化镁为碱性氧化物,熔点为2800度,高温加热后转变为稳定的立方晶体,俗称方镁石。由氢氧化镁经高温煅烧成,抗水化能力强。
镁砂英译magnesite clinker ;magnesite,分为烧结镁砂,轻烧镁砂,电熔镁砂三大类。镁砂是耐火材料最重要的原料之一,用于制造各种镁砖、镁铝砖、捣打料、补炉料等。含有杂质较多的,用于铺筑炼钢炉底等。
产品分类
烧结镁砂主要由菱镁矿、水镁矿或从海水中提取的氢氧化镁经高温煅烧而成。抗水化能力强。菱镁矿在700-950 ℃下煅烧即逸出CO2,所得的镁砂为软质多孔疏松物质,不能用于耐火材料;菱镁矿经1550-1600℃煅烧即所谓烧死的镁砂称烧结镁砂。用竖窑、回转窑等高温设备一次煅烧或二步煅烧工艺,以天然菱镁矿为原料烧制的烧死镁砂称为烧结镁砂;烧结镁砂按其理化指标划分为18个牌号,详见国标GB/T 2273-1998。以菱镁矿等为原料经电弧炉熔炼达到熔融状态冷却后形成的称为电熔镁砂;从海水中提取氧化镁制成的称为海水镁砂。高纯镁砂是选用天然特级菱镁矿石浮选提纯经轻烧、细磨、压球、超高温油竖窑煅烧而成。是制砖、不定耐火材料优质原料。中档镁砂是以MgO含量为97%的轻烧氧化镁为原料,经压球、高温竖窑煅烧等工艺生产而成。产品烧结程度好,结晶致密,是生产中档镁质耐火制品的优质原料,也可用于制造各种镁砖、镁铝砖、捣打料、补炉料等。含有杂质较多的,用于铺筑炼钢炉底等。
轻烧镁粉是抗折、耐压、高强度、气硬、胶凝材料,广泛用于于国防、医药、化工、造纸、造船等行业。在建材工业上可制做胎子板、刨花板、保温立柱、栏杆、人造大理石、石棉瓦、普通瓦、墙板、铺设地面。随着科技的进步,轻烧镁粉的用途更为广泛,可做土木产品、轻重机械包装箱、包装底梁、高温耐火材料,还可制造美观大方光泽度强的家具,在机械工业可做铸模型。
高纯镁砂是选用天然特级菱镁矿石浮选提纯经轻烧、细磨、压球、超高温油竖窑煅烧而成。是制砖、不定形耐火材料优质原料。高纯镁砂生产工艺的全部设备均由国外引进。
中档镁砂是以MgO含量为97%的轻烧氧化镁为原料,经压球、高温竖窑煅烧等工艺生产而成。产品烧结程度好,结晶致密,是生产中档镁质耐火制品的优质原料。
